Master Anya Adams
With over 20 years at Z-Ultimate Self Defense Studios, Master Anya's journey in martial arts started at 24 in New York City. Transitioning from a career in the music industry to martial arts, she now serves as the District Manager for seven studios, bringing her passion for coaching and martial arts to our Leadership Intensive. Her experience highlights a commitment to leadership, self-discipline, and respect, ready to inspire and guide your child.
Master Curtis Flick
A dedicated instructor for two decades, Master Curtis embarked on his martial arts career with Z-Ultimate in Beverly Hills, progressing to open our first Colorado Springs location. As a family man and a mentor, he emphasizes martial arts as a cornerstone for character building, leadership, and resilience. His extensive experience and personal commitment to martial arts make him a pivotal part of our Leadership Intensive, eager to mentor the next generation of leaders.

Who is eligible to join the Youth Leadership and Martial Arts Intensive?
The program welcomes all students aged 8 to 15. We cater to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced martial artists. With only 30 spots available, early registration is encouraged to secure your child's place.
Can I enroll more than one of my children and get a discount?
We do offer a $100 discount for each additional sibling you enroll in the program. Simply complete the registration on this page for your first child and you'll be given instructions on how to enroll additional children on the confirmation page.
What will my child gain from this program?
Your child will learn a blend of martial arts techniques and life skills crucial for personal development. Our curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, effective communication, leadership, and social skills. Moreover, we focus on building confidence, resilience, and positive interaction strategies, addressing key areas such as bullying prevention and stress management.
Are meals provided during the program?
Participants should bring their own meals and snacks for the day, although water and some snacks will be available. This ensures that each child has nourishment they enjoy and meets their dietary needs.
What should my child bring to the program?
A complete uniform, notebook, pen, water bottle, snacks/lunch, sparring gear, and outdoor shoes are required. We provide all other necessary materials and equipment for an enriching learning experience. It's also a good idea to send your child with an extra t-shirt or two and a change of clothes.
How do you ensure the safety of participants?
Safety is our top priority. We maintain a low student-to-instructor ratio for personalized attention and to ensure safety. Activities are designed with age-appropriate safety in mind, and we have protocols in place for all scenarios.
Can I stay with my child during the program?
While parents are welcome, we encourage independence to foster growth and self-reliance among participants. A special showcase on the last day allows parents to witness their child's progress and achievements.
What if my child has specific health needs?
Please inform us of any medical conditions or requirements at registration. We are committed to accommodating all participants to ensure a safe and positive experience.
When does the program take place, and what is the schedule?
The 2025 intensive runs from June 16th to June 20th, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM daily. It includes hourly breaks and a longer lunch break, fostering a balanced and focused learning environment.
What are the arrangements for drop-off and pick-up?
Early drop-off is available from 8:30 AM, and late pick-up until 7:00 PM to accommodate busy schedules. The dojo remains open for additional activities and lessons until 9 PM. We're flexible and can discuss further accommodations if needed.
